  1. I’ve been trying to replay The Lord of the Rings: Conquest on PC, but I keep running into the “Licence Limit Reached” error due to the old SecuROM DRM. I’ve tried everything to fix it:

Used EA’s deauthorization tool (no effect)

    Deleted leftover SecuROM activation files

    Reinstalled as

    EA won’t respond at all

I came here because I heard the version hosted here might by the DRM. Before I do anything, I wanted to ask:

Can anyone confirm if this fully skips the DRM check?
And if so, does it include a DRM-free conquest.exe, or should I use it to replace my existing install?

Any help or tips would be really appreciated. I just want to relive this classic!

    Thanks in advance

    • I had this problem with other game. Search “d3dx9_38.dll , XINPUT1_3.dll ” and just it, then put them into the files, i think it should work.

  4. For anyone having trouble, simply right click the .iso file and Open with Windows Explorer. It will automatically mount, and from there you can run setup.exe as an and you should be 100% good to go from there if you just click next for everything.

  8. After a lot of trial and error, I finally got it working (original problem being the game would freeze or crash after a couple of seconds upon loading up a level) I ran the games exe (also works by doing this from the games shortcut) on Windows XP SP 2 and turned every display setting in the game itself down to low and took the resolution down to 50Hz hopefully this can help someone with the same issue.
