Comment from game donator (SugarLies):
This disc is “Let’s Ride! The Rosemond Hill Collection” which contains both Legacy of Rosemond Hill and Competitions at Rosemond Hill.
“Install.exe” will start the setup for Competitions, while “Setup.exe” will start the setup for Legacy. The disc didn’t have an autorun option for me.
I have Windows 10 and WinCDEmu to start the disc and always choose ‘CD-ROM’ for the disc type. I’m not sure if doing otherwise may cause issues, so I thought I’d mention.
I haven’t tested much gameplay on Competitions, however I have some helpful info for small issues I came across in Legacy:
• I did have trouble with the game wanting to start if I skipped the tutorial, but was able to start new games just fine after running through the tutorial once.
• Saving the game gives me a popup about D3D every time, and the box I put the save in still says ‘free’ as if it’s unused, but it still loads my game when I start it again.
• Alt+Tabbing or hitting the Windows key at the wrong time can cause the game to not function. If you close all the windows, you may still find the game under ‘processes’ in your task manager. One of them will play the menu audio repeatedly. These are called black.exe, game.exe, and menu.exe. Just close all instances of these before starting the game again.

Hello! My pinned comment on top of the comments section has it! Click on the part that says “This Mega folder.” There are general directions and tips in the comment!
Nevermind i found the game but the colors are messed up dont know how to fix it
That’s an odd one, I’m not sure what would be up truly. I have a bunch of comments in here, see if any of those tips help, cause you never know!
Hi! Where is the link?
Hello! Commented this above, but wanna make sure you’re also notified:

I had a lot of trouble getting this game to open (nothing would happen when I tried to install setup.exe, and when I did get it to finally install, the game just wouldn’t open), but here’s what I did to get it to working. For reference I’m using Windows 10, WinCDEmu, and OTDVM (really useful when playing old games, google how to use it first)
1. I ed both the .rar and .iso files, and extracted the .rar file to my desktop. Use OTDVM to open setup.exe from the unzipped .rar file and it should install (when I tried to open it alone it wouldn’t do anything).
2. Mount the .iso file you ed using WinCDEmu. I’m not able to open the game from there, but you’ll still need to mount it.
3. Go to Program Files x86 > Twister > The Legacy of Rosemond Hill. Find game.exe, open properties and set compatibility mode to Windows XP Service Pack 2. Click on it again and run as , and the game should begin. If you don’t run as , it will ask you to insert a disc and you won’t be able to play.
I still get the D3D pop up whenever I save and the game will crash right after, but you just have to open it again and choose whichever save you used despite it saying it’s a free slot. Depending on what settings you’re using, you might have to mount the .iso each time you restart your computer.
Thank you for ing this game! I hope this helps anyone else having trouble getting it to work. 🙂
I still can’t open SETUP.exe, even with OTVDM. 🙁
Thanks for this! It can be hard to help people with questions when I don’t come across the same issues, so information on the variations that have worked for others is super duper helpful! So odd that it’s giving people issues with running setup.exe. The only other thing I can think of with that is also opening that as , though I’m not sure since mine just boots.
This game was such a favorite for me when I was little, and I’m sad I just can’t get it to work. Even when using OTVDM, the SETUP.exe will still not run. I get the little blue loading circle, but nothing comes up after that. I am running on a virtual machine, so maybe that’s it…but I’ve read that you should be able to use a virtual Windows 10 machine like a regular copy of Windows 10, so idk what the problem is. Unfortunate, that.
I assume you’re using a virtual machine because you’re not on Windows OS, and I’m sure that could be the heart of the issue for you. I’m unfortunately not familiar with working with games on anything but Windows, but sometimes a weird mix of options eventually works, so if you have any new ideas, it’s worth a shot! Maybe try copying the files from the mounted “disc” directly to the virtual machine’s documents and launch the setup.exe as an from there instead? That’s my only idea. I hope you can get it running, I love itching that nostalgia scratch! I played this randomly on my YT channel using files from the disc I owned from childhood and then lost the files and the disc was too scratched at this point to use so I bought a copy for $50 just to play it again and thought I’d it here cause I use this site a lot. Anything for the nostalgia haha. Good luck!
Hi! Where can I find the link?
It doesn’t work for me. It still says that I need to insert a disc 🙁
You should always have the ISO loaded as a CD-ROM through WinCDEmu when opening the game. I never had it ask for a disc so that’s my only guess.
i got it to work finaly but Anni moves on her own and I can’t control her.
I think that’s just the intro to the game. It’s weird, but if you press and hold (I think) the space button, it fast forwards through the tutorial. Then you can start the game proper.
I had the same problem and wanted to try this, but I couldn’t find the .rar file, where can ich find it?
hi, i have the d3d pop up after saving and while i read that the profile should still work even though it says free, it does crash every time i click save and the d3d pop up happens. is there any way to fix it?
I wasn’t able to stop this crash unfortunately, I just have to suffer with opening the game again to continue.

I have not been able to solve this issue. It just opens the save when I open the game again. Tedious for sure.
Hello! I was super excited to find this game again, but I am struggling to get it to work on my computer. I have windows 10 and installed WinCDEmu, but I’m not sure what to do or how to use it, really. I ed the ISO file and tried to start the game using the “setup.exe” but nothing happens when I open it. Is there a step I’m missing?
Hmm that’s odd, have you tried and compatibility modes on the setup.exe? Maybe Windows XP Service Pack 2? It runs immediately for me, I just tested again.
Hi, I had the same issue. But I think I found a solution. No guarantie though, since I’m not a tech expert. So I don’t know exactley which thing I did fixed the problem. So I’m explaining what I did and I hope it will help you too.
1. Reinstalling the game: I uninstalled everything and reinstalled it by running the game in the compatability mode. To do so, right kick on the setup, choose properies and choose under the compatability tab to run it as windows XP service pack 2
2. Running the game in compatability mode: Basically do the same thing with your game, which I described to do with the setup
I hope this will help you
Greetings Stella
My game keeps crashing during the second competition. It just fails, and exits the game, leaving me with a black screen. Any tips?
I’m having the same issue and wondering the same thing.
i had this too i think, i have the original CD at home
If this is in Legacy, I’m not sure. I was able to complete all of the competitions in the first round of them without issue. I don’t know if it makes a difference, but I mount this game with WinCDEmu and always choose ‘CD-ROM’ for the disc type, whereas Daemon Tools by default seems to load it a disc with music instead. I hope this works!
I’m having the same issue. Did you ever figure out a fix?
I figured it out for myself. I wasn’t running the game in Windows XP Service Pack 2 compatibility mode. It did make me start a new game but I was able to progress throughout the rest of the game after that! No more getting stuck on the second competition.
when i try and start a new game it pops us with d3d failed what would cause this
Generally, this can be related to a driver needing an update. Do you get to the menu at all or does it crash before reaching that? And is this for Legacy of Rosemond Hill or Competitions at Rosemond Hill?
I had trouble starting a new game if I didn’t do the tutorial, but the menu worked fine. Once I did the tutorial once, it booted up the game just fine and I was able to start new games without doing the tutorial anymore.
There’s a program called D3DWindower that’s a bit weird but fairly simple to use. Sometimes it gets my games running; but if my advice here doesn’t work then you may need to do some digging around on Google.
I had the game at some point but mine had a glitch in it where you couldnt complete later competitions, sold it back to cex
s of the site wanted me to link the here while they work on adding it to the site directly.
So here it is!
This Mega folder has an .iso and .rar of the disc files.

If I think of anything else worth mentioning, I will respond to this comment to add on. Otherwise, leave a comment if you’re having an issue and hopefully I can try to help.
Thanks to OldGames for even hosting this wonderful site. Glad to bring a new, malware free version of this in English to the web finally.
My game always opens up to the black.exe but then closes again before it actually launches. Any idea on how to get past it? I used to how when I had the game as a kid but I’ve definitely forgotten the tricks over the years.
Black.exe is just one of the few processes that seems to run in the background of the game to provide ambient sounds for some reason. After that, a window called ‘refractor’ will show the developer names and such, and then menu.exe opens.
I assume this means it’s not even starting the refractor so maybe try some compatibility settings? It’s hard for me to answer some of these questions because mine runs right away 😭
the game is available on Amazon but theres only one game left
I know somwone who has this game. But she has it only in german :c
i have it in english but i recall my game having issues after a competition
Ahh I miss this game, the ugliness and weird bugs were a delight. [watch out for the wheelbarrows, theyare dangerous!], I have an old disc but can’t seem to get it to work on my pc (windows 10 might be the problem) I’ll post a link if I can get it to work!
Any updates on the game? I’m absolutely dying to play it again, it was included for free in a horse magazine when I was a kid and my childhood friend kinda kept it after borrowing it from me :/
When I click on the button to the game, the doesnt start 😮 Instead Im directed to a new tab-window that just shows the same page again.
That’s because we were notified by someone that they might have found malware in the files, so we’ve deactivated it for now while we check
just an update to this: the setup.exe file in the ROM for this game was indeed very suspicious. I’ve decided it’s best to deactivate the and add the game to the missing games list until we can find a cleaner . Sorry for the this to everyone waiting to the game
Is there anyway I can help y’all out. I have the discs for several old horse games still.
If you own this game and can donate it that would be awesome (we have instructions on how you can donate games here: https://oldgames.sitesunblocked.org/wiki/donate-a-game/ )
Now more than ever I wish I kept my gigantic cylinder container of game discs.
Any progress? I’m also dying to play this game again!!
